Minutes:
The Council considered a report of the Corporate Director, Resources that sought approval for the commencement of formal negotiations with the trade unions on job evaluation/single status outcomes and proposed changes to the pay and conditions of the workforce.
It was Moved by Councillor A Napier, Seconded by Councillor S Henig and
Resolved:
(i) that formal negotiations commence with Trade Unions regarding the detailed implementation arrangements of a new pay and grading structure for all employees covered by the ‘green book’ pay and conditions of service;
(ii) that negotiations commence in respect of changes and harmonisation of allowances and other terms and conditions of service as outlined in appendix 2 of the report;
(iii) that, following the trade union consultation and negotiation process, a report be brought back to Council for final approval prior to implementation.
