Minutes:

The minutes of the meeting held on 24th October 2003 were confirmed as a correct record and signed by the Chairman .

EXCLUSION OF PRESS AND PUBLIC 

Resolved:       That in accordance with Section 100(a)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12a of the Act.

Organisation Restructure - Applications for Early Retirement/Voluntary Redundancy

Report of Chief ExecutIve Officer.

Minutes:

Consideration was given to a report of the Chief Executive Officer detailing requests that had been received for early retirement/voluntary redundancy under the Council’s approved scheme.  (For copy see file of Minutes)

 

RESOLVED:           1.            That the applications for early retirement/voluntary redundancy as detailed in the report be approved.

 

2.            That Cabinet be requested to review the Council’s early retirement/voluntary redundancy policy including the selection procedures, taking into account the financial impact and the proposed charges to the Local Government Pension Scheme.
