Purpose of Report
1. To explain the latest quarterly report from the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) Service relating to the Easington Primary Care Trust.
Background
2. The Easington Primary Care Trust PALS report for the period 1 October to 30 December 2005 indicates a number of key themes which may be of interest to the Health Scrutiny Sub-Committee. From the 83 cases raised with the Easington PALS Service, the main themes were:-
· Poor treatment and care and poor manner/attitude received from health professionals particularly in relation to secondary care services.
· Problems accessing a service.
