Health Scrutiny Sub-Committee 3 July 2006 Annual Report 2005/6

Purpose of Report

1. To explain the attached Annual Report.

Background

2. Under the Council’s Constitution, there is a requirement to prepare an annual report about the activities of this Scrutiny Sub-Committee. The attached report summarises the Sub-Committee’s work, provide some assessment and some thoughts for the future.

3. The title of the report looks forward to the changes in Health structures in County Durham and raises the challenge that these changes should be seen to deliver improved services for patients and residents.

4. You are asked to note the Annual Report.
