Agenda and minutes

Apologies for absence were received from Councillors J Carr, S Robinson and B Stephens (Durham County Council) and J Lee (Gateshead Council).

There were no substitutes.

The minutes of the meeting held on 28 January 2020 were confirmed as a correct record and would be signed by the Chair.

The Chair noted that in relation to agenda item 8 (page six) on Fees and Charges 2020/21 in response to the Covid 19 pandemic the proposed increase in fees and charges for Mountsett Crematorium that would have been effective from 1 April 2020 and agreed at the last committee meeting were not implemented and they remained the same for the time being.

There were no declarations of interest.

That under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 3 and 5 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act.

The part B minutes of the meeting held on 28 January 2020 were confirmed as a correct record and would be signed by the Chair (for copy see file of minutes).

The Joint Committee considered a Joint report of Corporate Director of

Regeneration and Local Services and the Corporate Director of Resources and Treasurer to the Joint Committee regarding an update on the Cremator replacement and the Contingency Planning (for copy see file of minutes).

Resolved

That the recommendations contained in the report be agreed.
