Application for the grant of a Joint Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Driver.
Minutes: The Chair welcomed the applicant to the meeting and introductions took place.
Consideration was given to the report of the Corporate Director, Neighbourhood Services which asked the Sub-Committee to consider and determine the application for the grant of a Joint Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Driver’s Licence, a copy of which had been circulated. The report included a copy of the applicant’s CRB disclosure, application and driving licence.
The Sub-Committee heard representations from Durham Constabulary. The applicant presented his case and responded to questions following which Members of the Sub-Committee retired to deliberate in private at 2.20 pm.
After reconvening at 2.30 pm, the Chair delivered the Sub-Committee’s decision.
RESOLVED
That the application for the grant of a Joint Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Driver’s Licence be granted as the applicant was deemed to be a ‘fit and proper’ person. |

Application for the grant of a Hackney Carriage Driver Licence. Minutes: The Chair welcomed the applicant and his representative to the meeting and introductions took place.
Consideration was given to the report of the Corporate Director, Neighbourhood Services which asked the Sub-Committee to consider and determine the application for the grant of a Hackney Carriage Driver’s Licence, a copy of which had been circulated. The report included a copy of the applicant’s CRB disclosure, application and driving licence.
The Sub-Committee heard representations from Durham Constabulary. The applicant presented his case, and together with his representative responded to questions following which Members of the Sub-Committee retired to deliberate in private at 2.45 pm.
After reconvening at 2.50 pm, the Chair delivered the Sub-Committee’s decision.

That the application for the grant of a Hackney Carriage Driver’s Licence be granted as the applicant was deemed to be a ‘fit and proper’ person.

Hackney Carriage Driver Licence. Minutes: The Chair welcomed the applicant to the meeting and introductions took place.
Consideration was given to the report of the Corporate Director, Neighbourhood Services which asked the Sub-Committee to consider and determine any action necessary regarding a Hackney Carriage Driver’s Licence, a copy of which had been circulated. Members were also provided with additional information regarding the applicant.
The Sub-Committee heard representations from Durham Constabulary and a complainant. The applicant presented his case and responded to questions following which Members of the Sub-Committee retired to deliberate in private at 3.10 pm.
After reconvening at 3.35 pm, the Chair delivered the Sub-Committee’s decision.
RESOLVED
That the Hackney Carriage Driver’s Licence be revoked as the applicant was not deemed to be a ‘fit and proper’ person.
