Minutes:
The Museum Director gave an update on Museum business – there had been a slow start to the year due to the poor weather but visitor numbers had progressed well in April and May with successful events being held. The Museum was 11% up on last year and 30% up on budget until the end of May.
The Chairman thanked those members who had recently retired and those members for which this was their last meeting of the Committee. He thanked them for their support and asked that a letter be sent to them offering a Beamish Unlimited pass for the coming year.
Councillor Mortimer said that she had enjoyed her time serving on the Committee and would continue to support and promote the Museum wherever she could. She passed her congratulations to all staff involved in the success of the Museum.
