Minutes:
Three questions had been received from Mr Cunningham, briefly summarised as follows:
i) The disparity of costs for stairlift maintenance between the Council’s in-house price and that from outside suppliers.
ii) The total number of individual requests, block recorded or otherwise, from 2011 to date under RIPA and the ratio of investigations to successful prosecutions.
iii) The evidence of regeneration and economic development following a grant of £500,000 by the County Council to Durham County Cricket Club.
Mr Cunningham was in attendance to ask his questions and received responses from Councillor Stephens, Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Neighbourhoods and Local Partnerships, Councillor Napier, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Finance and Councillor Foster, Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Economic Regeneration.
A question had been received from Ms K Thomas on behalf of The Friends of the Durham Green Belt, briefly summarised as follows:
i) How many comments had been received on the Pre-Submission County Durham Local Plan and how and when these comments would be reported to Cabinet and/or full Council. What were the County Council’s next steps?
Ms Thomas was in attendance to ask her question and received a response from Councillor Foster, Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Economic Regeneration.
The Head of Legal and Democratic Services informed the Council that Mr Cunningham and Ms Thomas would receive a written response to their questions and both the questions and responses would be published on the Council’s website.
