The Specialist Inspector for Religious Education presented the circulated report which was the RE Inspector Report for Autumn Term 2014 (for copy see file of minutes).

The report looked at the following:-

·       Durham RE Networks

·       RE Contracts

·       Regional RE Hub

·       Holocaust Memorial Day

·       Courses Next Year

·       School Queries

·       RE, Collective Worship, SMSC and Ofsted

·       Interfaith Week

·       Farmington Fellowship

·       Raising the Profile of RE

·       RE Bursaries

Members discussed the contents of the report in particular parental withdrawal of children from RE and/or Collective Worship. Members discussed how withdrawal did not mean that children would be given extra curriculum work.

Resolved: That the report be noted.
