Application for the Ongoing Suitability of a Hackney Carriage Driver

Minutes:

Prior to the start of the meeting, The Licensing Team Leader informed the Sub-Committee that the applicant had advised that there was information which he had not yet received from Durham County Council, which would assist Members in their decision making.

 

The Chairman introduced the Licence Holder to the meeting and introductions took place.

 

The Licence Holder was asked to confirm the nature of the information which he had not yet received.  There was an adjournment at 3.10pm for the Licensing Team Leader to acquire the information required by the applicant.

 

Upon returning to the Chamber at 3.30pm, the Licencing Team Leader confirmed that there had not yet been a response sent to the applicant.

 

The applicant stated the information was relevant to his submissions and the Chairman delivered the Sub-Committees decision.

 

Resolved:

 

That in order for the applicant to have a fair hearing, the meeting would be adjourned until the information required had been provided to the applicant.  The Licence would remain suspended until the application could be considered at a later date.
