The Minutes of the meeting held 31 October 2017 were agreed as a correct record and signed by the Chairman.

The Overview and Scrutiny Officer, Jonathan Slee noted information in terms of the item relating to the Safe Durham Partnership (SDP) Strategic Assessment, a response on behalf of the Committee had been forwarded to the SDP.  It was added that information had also been circulated regarding the call prevention scheme.  Members were also advised that in relation to the Committee’s work on Arson and Secondary Deliberate Fires, a letter containing views of Members had been sent to the Chair of the SDP and the Portfolio Holder, Councillor L Hovvels, with the Chairman, Councillor D Boyes attending the SDP meeting on 16 January 2018.
