Minutes:
The Chairman welcomed everyone to the meeting, in particular the new representatives. Everyone introduced themselves and gave a brief description of their background.
Apologies for absence had been received from J Bainbridge, N Chapman, V Gallant, A Hartley, C Newton, J Pallister, M Turner and C Weir.
The Chairman advised Members that C Newton had moved to a school outside the authority and had tendered her resignation on Durham SACRE. Members wished her well.
Members were also advised that J Kidd would retire from Durham SACRE at the end of August 2017 so this would be his last meeting after almost 30 years on Durham SACRE. Members thanked him for his service and wished him well.
Due to the recent Durham County Council elections Mike Dixon and Alan Liversidge were no longer eligible to be Members representing Durham County Council on Durham SACRE. Councillors C Martin and F Tinsley would now be the Durham County Council representatives on Durham SACRE.
