Minutes:
Councillor Brookes moved and Councillor Tinsley seconded that Mike Dixon be invited to join SACRE as a Co-opted Member.
Members discussed the co-option and in-line with procedures in the Council’s Constitution voted on the co-option.
Members agreed for I Short to approach Mike Dixon and offer him a position on SACRE as a Co-opted Member.
The Chairman advised Members that the membership of SACRE was for a four year period that would expire on 31 August 2017. The Clerk would be writing to faith groups for their nominations.
Resolved: That Mike Dixon be offered the position of a Co-opted Member on Durham SACRE.
