Unfortunately the retiring Mayor was unable to attend the meeting and asked Dr Bill Moir to read out a letter on his behalf. He thanked the Deputy Mayor, the Mayors Bodyguard, Town Hall Staff and the Mayors Secretary for their support during his year in office and everyone who helped raise over £10,000 for his chosen charity. He recalled a year filled with many highlights and memories and expressed what an honour and delight it had been to be Mayor of this historic City. He wished the new Mayor and Deputy Mayor a wonderful year ahead.
