Minutes:
The Mayor offered the vote of thanks to the retiring Mayor and Consort who had been dedicated in carrying out their duties with such grace and enthusiasm during a difficult year. He expressed how proud Councillor Eddie Bell was to be the City’s Mayor and his involvement with the Cathedral and the Ceremonial Bodyguard had been highlights for him.
The Mayor congratulated them both on their tireless efforts in relation to their chosen charity, Veterans at Ease in which they had raised just over £10,000.
The Mayor offered the vote of thanks to the retiring Deputy Mayor, Dr Bill Moir and his Consort, Councillor Katie Corrigan for the support they had given to the retiring Mayor over the last year and was sure that as their roles reverse, Bill would enjoy supporting Katie just as much in her new role as Deputy Mayor.
