The Minutes of the meeting held 26 June 2017 were agreed as a correct record and signed by the Chairman.

The Overview and Scrutiny Officer, Jonathan Slee advised Members that responses to reports and presentations from the Committee’s meeting on Open Water Safety, Hate Crime and Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence had been sent and that update reports would be provided as part of the Committee’s work programme.

In response to a question asked by Councillor Avery on underage drinking, the Overview and Scrutiny Officer advised that he had contacted the Alcohol Harm Reduction Unit for further information and was advised that a lot of work had been undertaken to engage with schools and young people around the Ferryhill area prior to the summer holidays and that a staysafe operation had taken place in September.
