Prior to the commencement of the meeting the Chairman of the County Council with great sadness reported the death of former Alderman and Teesdale District Councillor Ossie Hedley, who gave 30 years’ service to the District Council. Ossie was a longstanding Chairman of the Planning Committee and had served as Leader at one time. He had also served on Staindrop Parish Council.
The Council stood for a moments silence as a mark of respect.
