Minutes:
The Chairman welcomed the Licence Holder to the meeting and introductions took place.
The Sub-Committee considered a report of the Corporate Director of Adult Services for the grant of a Hackney Carriage Driver Licence (for copy, see file of minutes).
The Licensing Team Leader presented the report and the Licensing Enforcement Officer presented the Licence Enforcement Team committee report. Members and Officers were given the opportunity to ask questions following both presentations as well as the Applicant.
A representative from Durham Constabulary addressed the Sub-Committee and confirmed the accuracy with respect to matters outlined in the report.
The Applicant was invited to address the Sub-Committee and responded to questions from Officers and Members.
At 3.45 p.m. the Sub-Committee retired to deliberate the application in private and after reconvening at 3.55 p.m. the Chairman delivered the Sub-Committee’s decision.
Resolved:
That the Applicant be granted a Hackney Carriage Driver Licence, subject to a written warning for a period of six months.
