Minutes:
The Chairman welcomed the Licence Holder and his representative to the meeting and introductions took place.
The Sub-Committee considered a report of the Corporate Director of Adult Services to determine the ongoing suitability of a Hackney Carriage Driver (for copy, see file of minutes).
The Licensing Team Leader presented the report and the Licensing Enforcement Team Leader presented the Licensing Enforcement Team report. Members and Officers were given the opportunity to ask questions following both presentations, as well as the Licence Holder and his representative.
A representative from Durham Constabulary confirmed that no data was held on the Police National Computer with regards to the Licence Holder and therefore no information could be presented to assist in determining the application.
The Licence Holder and his representative were invited to address the Sub-Committee and responded to questions from Members and Officers.
At 10.25 a.m. the Sub-Committee retired to deliberate the application in private and after reconvening at 10.35 a.m. the Chairman delivered the decision.
Resolved:
That no further action be taken as the Licence Holder was deemed to be a fit and proper person.
