Minutes:
The Chairman welcomed the Applicant to the meeting and introductions took place.
The Sub-Committee considered a report of the Corporate Director of Adult Services to determine the grant of a Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver Licence (for copy, see file of minutes).
The Licensing Team Leader presented the report and the Licensing Enforcement Officer presented the Licensing Enforcement Team report. Members and Officers were given the opportunity to ask questions following both presentations, as well as the Applicant.
A representative from Durham Constabulary confirmed the accuracy in respect of matters outlined in the report.
The Applicant was invited to address the Sub-Committee and responded to questions from Members and Officers.
At 11.05 a.m. the Sub-Committee retired to deliberate the application in private and after reconvening at 11.15 a.m. the Chairman delivered the decision.
Resolved:
That a Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Licence be granted as the Applicant was deemed to be a fit and proper person.
