Minutes:
The Licensing Team Leader confirmed that the Licence Holder had not responded to any invitations to attend a pre-committee interview and Members agreed unanimously to determine the application in his absence.
The Sub-Committee considered a report of the Corporate Director of Adult Services to determine the ongoing suitability of a Hackney Carriage Driver (for copy, see file of minutes).
The Licensing Team Leader presented the report and the Licensing Enforcement Team Leader presented the Licensing Enforcement Team report and confirmed that the Licence Holder had not attended or responded to attempts made to contact him. Members and Officers were given the opportunity to ask questions following both presentations.
A representative from Durham Constabulary addressed the Sub-Committee in respect of matters outlined in the report.
At 12.35 p.m. the Sub-Committee retired to deliberate the application in private and after reconvening at 12.40 p.m. the Chairman delivered the decision.
Resolved:
That the Licence be revoked as the Licence Holder was not deemed to be a fit and proper person.
