Minutes:
The Chairman welcomed the Licence Holder and her representative to the meeting and introductions took place.
The Committee considered a report of the Corporate Director of Adult Services to determine the ongoing suitability of a Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver, Private Hire Vehicle Operator, and Private Hire and Hackney Carriage Vehicle Licence Holder (for copy, see file of minutes).
The Licensing Team Leader presented the report and the Licensing Enforcement Team Leader presented the Licensing Enforcement Team Report. Members and Officers were given the opportunity to ask questions following both presentations, as well as the Licence Holder.
A representative from Durham Constabulary addressed the Sub-Committee in respect of the matters outlined in the report.
The Licence Holder and her supporter were invited to address the Sub-Committee and the Licence Holder responded to questions from Members and Officers.
At 11.00 a.m. the Sub-Committee retired to deliberate the application in private and at 12.20 p.m. the Chairman delivered the decision.
Resolved
a) That no further action be taken in respect of the Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver Licence as the applicant was deemed to be a fit and proper person.
b) That the Private Hire operator licence be revoked.
c) That the Hackney Carriage Vehicle Licence be revoked.
d) That the Private Hire Vehicle Licence be revoked.
