The Panel considered a report of the Police, Crime and Victims’ Commissioner which supplemented the public performance report with regard to giving an overview on the Police, Crime and Victims’ Plan Outcome 2 – ‘Victims and the Vulnerable Feel Supported’ (for copy see file of Minutes).  The Panel also received a presentation from Jacob Cain, Policy and Accountability Officer, Office of the Police, Crime and Victims Commissioner.

Councillor Boyes referred to the budgets of partners being cut, for example Public Health, and asked how this was putting a strain on the PCVCs budget.  The PCVC replied that he was striving to work closer with partners to save money and improve return on investment, however his budget could not take all of the strain.  He was very concerned that the most vulnerable people may not get the support they needed or deserved.
