Minutes:
The Chairman welcomed the Licence Holder, his representative, and his supporter to the meeting and introductions took place.
The Committee considered a report of the Corporate Director of Adult Services to determine the ongoing suitability of a Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver (for copy see file of minutes).
The Licensing Team Leader presented the report and the Licensing Enforcement Team Leader presented the Licensing Enforcement Team Report. Members and Officers were given the opportunity to ask questions following both presentations, as well as the Licence Holder and his representative.
The Licensing Team Leader confirmed that Durham Constabulary had nothing to add with regards to matters outlined in the report.
The Licence Holder and his representative were invited to address the Sub-Committee and the Licence Holder responded to questions from Members and Officers.
At 14.45 p.m. the Sub-Committee retired to deliberate the application in private and at 15.05 p.m. the Chairman delivered the decision.
Resolved:
That the Licence Holder be subject to a written warning for a period of three months.
