Minutes:
The Chairman welcomed the Applicant and his supporter to the meeting and introductions took place.
The Committee considered a report of the Corporate Director of Adult Services with regards to an application for the grant of a Hackney Carriage Driver Licence (for copy see file of minutes).
The Licensing Team Leader presented the report and the Licensing Enforcement Team Leader presented the Licensing Enforcement Team Report. Members and Officers were given the opportunity to ask questions following both presentations, as well as the Applicant.
The Licensing Team Leader confirmed that Durham Constabulary had nothing to add with regards to matters outlined in the report.
The Applicant was invited to address the Sub-Committee and the Licence Holder responded to questions from Members and Officers.
The Applicants supporter addressed the Sub-Committee in support of the application.
At 16.10 p.m. the Sub-Committee retired to deliberate the application in private and at 16.15 p.m. the Chairman delivered the decision.
Resolved:
That the Hackney Carriage Driver Licence be granted as the Applicant was deemed to be a fit and proper person.
