Minutes:
The Chairman welcomed the Licence Holder and his representative to the meeting and introductions took place. The Committee considered a report of the Corporate Director of Adult Services to determine the ongoing suitability of a Hackney Carriage Driver (for copy see file of minutes).
The Licensing Enforcement Team Leader presented the report and the Licensing Enforcement Officer presented the Licensing Enforcement Team Report. Members and Officers were given the opportunity to ask questions following both presentations, as well as the Licence Holder and his representative.
A representative from Durham Constabulary addressed the Sub-Committee with regards to matters outlined in the report.
The Licence Holder was invited to address the Sub-Committee and Members and Officers were given the opportunity to ask questions.
At 11.10 a.m. the Sub-Committee retired to deliberate the application in private and at 11.40 a.m. the Chairman delivered the decision.
Resolved:
That the Licence Holder be subject to a written warning for a period of two years.
