Minutes:
The Chair welcomed the Licence Holder and employer to the meeting and introductions took place.
The Sub-Committee considered the report of the Corporate Director of Regeneration and Local Services regarding an application to be licensed as a Private Hire Driver (for copy see file of minutes).
The Licensing Enforcement Officer presented the report, and all parties were given the opportunity to ask questions of the Officer.
Durham Constabulary had confirmed the details provided in the report.
The Licence Holder and employer addressed the Sub-Committee and then responded to questions from Members and Officers.
The Sub-Committee retired to deliberate the application in private at 11.55am. After re-convening at 12.10pm, the Chair delivered the Sub-Committee’s decision.
Resolved:
That the Private Hire Driver Licence be granted subject to a written warning for a 12 month period.
