Minutes:
The Chair welcomed the Licence Holder and his representative to the meeting and introductions took place.
The Sub-Committee considered the report of the Corporate Director of Regeneration and Local Services regarding the ongoing suitability of a Hackney Carriage Vehicle Licence (for copy see file of minutes).
The Licensing Enforcement Officer presented the report, and informed Members that the Licence Holder had offered to surrender the vehicle licence as of 4.00pm on Friday 1 November 2019. All parties were given the opportunity to ask questions of the Officer.
Durham Constabulary had confirmed the details provided in the report.
The Licence Holder’s representative addressed the Sub-Committee and then responded to questions from Members and Officers.
The Sub-Committee retired to deliberate the application in private at 12.45pm. After re-convening at 12.55pm the Chair delivered the Sub-Committee’s decision.
Resolved:
That no further action be taken subject to the surrender of the Hackney Carriage Vehicle Licence by 4.00pm on Friday 1 November 2019.
