Minutes:
The Committee considered a report of the Corporate Director of Regeneration and Local Services to consider an application for the ongoing suitability of a Joint Driver and Private Hire Operator (for copy see file of minutes).
The Chair welcomed the Licence Holder to the meeting and introductions took place. The Councils Solicitor explained the procedure.
The Licensing Enforcement Officer presented the Licensing Enforcement Team Report and the Licence Holder confirmed that he was having issues with the sound quality and had not read the report.
The meeting was adjourned at 9.50 a.m. in order for the Licence Holder to read the report.
On reconvening at 10.20 a.m. the Licensing Enforcement Officer presented the Licensing Enforcement Team Report. All parties were given the opportunity to ask questions.
A representative from the Councils Contracts Services presented information relating to the matters outlined in the report.
The Licence Holder addressed the Committee with regards to matters outlined in the report and Members and Officers were given the opportunity to ask questions.
All parties were given the opportunity to sum-up.
At 10.25 a.m. the Sub-Committee retired to deliberate the application in private.
Resolved:
That the Joint Driver and Private Hire Operator Licences be revoked with immediate effect as the Applicant was not deemed to be a fit and proper person.
