Consideration was given to the report of the Licensing Team Leader regarding an application for the grant of a Premises Licence in respect of AS Café Communal Rooms, Crookgate, Burnopfield (for copy see file of Minutes).

The Licensing Team Leader reported that the applicant Mrs Shkelqesa Zyberaj was not in attendance. Her husband was present on her behalf but had been advised that although he could represent her, as the applicant she needed to attend in person.

The Chair expressed concern that the applicant was not in attendance as the potential Licence Holder, and that it was disappointing not only  in terms of the wasted time of all those involved, but also the cost implications this had.

In view of this the Sub-Committee AGREED that the application be adjourned to 15 July 2021 at 9.30am. The applicant to be informed that the hearing would proceed in her absence if she failed to attend.
