Minutes:
Members noted that the Licence Holder was not present and that consideration of this matter had been adjourned previously on 8 June 2021. The Licensing Enforcement Officer reported that the Licence Holder had advised that he would not be in attendance but had confirmed that the hearing could proceed in his absence. The reasons for his non-attendance were provided.
Having heard the information from the Licensing Enforcement Officer Members considered whether to proceed in the Licence Holder’s absence. The Sub-Committee considered the position of the Licence Holder as explained by the Officer and noted that the Licence Holder had confirmed that the hearing could go ahead in his absence. Members therefore agreed that the hearing should proceed.
The Licensing Enforcement Officer presented the report and responded to questions.
At 1.40pm Officers left the meeting to allow Members to deliberate in private.
After re-convening at 2.10pm the Chair delivered the Sub-Committee’s decision.
Resolved:
That the Licence Holder’s Hackney Carriage Driver Licence be revoked with immediate effect.
