Minutes:
The Chair reported that he had continued to enjoy attending events over the last month including the Council’s own Christmas Carol Service held at County Hall last week.
The Chair was pleased to announce that Durham County Council Children's Services were winners of the ‘Supporting Solution Service’ award at the Local Government Chronicle Awards, which celebrated excellence in local government. The Chair invited the Corporate Director of Children and Young People’s Services to collect the award and to say a few words about the award.
