Minutes:
The Sub-Committee considered a report of the Corporate Director of Regeneration and Local Services to consider an application for the ongoing suitability of a Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver (for copy see file of minutes).
The Licensing Enforcement Officer advised that despite various attempts to make contact with the Licence Holder, he had not responded at all during the investigation. She confirmed that notice of the hearing had been hand delivered.
The Sub-Committee resolved to hear the application in the absence of the Licence Holder and the Licensing Enforcement Officer presented the report. Members were given the opportunity to ask questions.
At 1.40 p.m. the Sub-Committee retired to deliberate the application in private and at 1.45 p.m. the Chair delivered the decision.
Resolved:
That the Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver Licences be revoked with immediate effect.
