The Cabinet considered a report of the Corporate Director of Neighbourhoods and Climate Change which presented the annual update on the 2020-2021 Transport Asset Management Plan (for copy of report see file of minutes).

Councillor Shuttleworth welcomed the report, and advised how it demonstrates the councils continued commitment to maintain its network and investing in the highway infrastructure. He advised that this was used by everybody who lives and works in the county, and that its condition and sustainability will continue to be a priority going forward. He commended the work undertaken by the highways team.

Councillor Bell welcomed the report and that it set out the areas of strength of the highway network, and also areas for investment. He was pleased that the revised plan include the rights of way network.
