Minutes:
The Chair explained that further to work undertaken on SACREs self-evaluation it would be important to look at medium-term priorities and well as longer-term priorities, development areas and timescales.
He therefore suggested that the meeting split in to 2 groups to discuss with a view to discussing in more depth at the next meeting of SACRE.
Initial Feedback on Areas of discussion:
Short-term planning
· Improve membership.
· Provide better support to schools – impact in classroom.
· Further work on religious and non-religious worldviews.
Long-term planning
· Improve attendance, look to bring in members of faith to meetings for purposes of presentation, with a view to rebuilding the community network.
· Researching the possibility of a Youth SACRE
· Attending network meeting to share best practice.
· Annual Conference – seek funding through community cohesion.
