The Panel received the Annual Report of the Joint Independent Audit Committee, presented by the Independent Chair to the Committee, E Bell (for copy see file of Minutes).

The Independent Chair reminded the Panel that the Joint Independent Audit Committee were advisory only, and their work was independent of the Police and did not overlap.  He added that the Chief Finance Officer, Gary Ridley had assisted the Committee and reiterated that the Committee challenged the work of the PCC and Durham Constabulary.

Resolved:

That the report be noted.
