Minutes:
The Sub-Committee welcomed the Licence Holder and their support person to the meeting and introductions were made.
The Sub-Committee then considered the report of the Corporate Director of Neighbourhoods and Climate Change regarding the ongoing suitability of the Licence Holder to continue to be licensed as a Private Hire driver (for copy of report, see file of minutes).
The Senior Licensing Enforcement Officer, outlined the report. The parties were invited to ask questions and the Senior Licensing Enforcement Officer responded to a question from the Council’s Solicitor.
The Licence Holder then addressed the Sub-Committee and responded to questions.
After all parties had summed-up, the Sub-Committee retired to deliberate, in private, at 9.40am.
On re-convening at 9.50am, the Chair delivered the Sub-Committee’s decision.
Resolved:
a) That the Licence Holder be issued with a written warning for a period of 3 months.
b) That the Licence Holder complete the Driver Improvement Scheme within 1 month.
