The Sub-Committee welcomed the Licence Holder to the meeting and introductions were made.  The Sub-Committee then considered the report of the Corporate Director of Neighbourhoods and Climate Change regarding the ongoing suitability of the Licence Holder to continue to be licensed as a joint Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver (for copy of report, see file of minutes).

The Senior Licensing Enforcement Officer provided a summary of the report and updated the Sub-Committee on recent developments since the time of writing the report. The Senior Licensing Enforcement Officer then responded to questions from the Sub-Committee and the Council’s Solicitor.

The Licence Holder addressed the Sub-Committee and responded to questions from the Council’s Solicitor.

At approximately 1.40 pm, the Sub-Committee adjourned to deliberate, in private. 

On reconvening at 1.50 pm, the Chair delivered the Sub-Committee’s decision.

Resolved:

That the Licence Holder’s driver’s licence be suspended, with immediate effect, for a period of 2 months, or, until the required documentation is provided to the Licensing Authority, whichever is the sooner. </AI6>
