Minutes:
Members considered the report of the Senior Professional Learning Advisor which introduced the new in-school advisors joining SACRE this term, a summary of the professional development and networking opportunities available to RE leaders and teachers, contracted support delivered and summaries from Ofsted deep dives into RE in County Durham (for copy of reports, see file of minutes).
The Senior Professional Learning Advisor advised Members that her next Education Durham report to SACRE would cover exam outcomes for Summer 2024 and analysis of the 2023 data to look for any trends.
K Passmore suggested that details of network meetings be added to the RE Hub website.
In response to a discussion around the gold quality mark for Religious Education award for Durham Schools, N Dodds advised members that her school had just been awarded the gold quality mark for Religious Education. She indicated that she was happy to support anyone who was applying for the gold quality mark and would be willing to attend a network meeting to talk through the process.
Following discussions around the contents of the report the Chair thanked the Senior Professional Learning Advisor for her report.
