Members considered the report of the Director of Legal and Democratic Services in relation to the proposal for the revision of the agreed syllabus (for copy of report, see file of minutes).

In response to questions around co-opted members, members were advised that SACRE co-opted members were not members of the Agreed Syllabus Conference and was only full Durham SACRE members.

Members noted that the membership of Durham SACRE expired on 31 August 2025 and that County Council elections were taking place in May 2025, which could result in the membership changing during the Agreed Syllabus Conference.

Members asked if the Agreed Syllabus Conference meetings could be held hybrid to enable more members to attend. The Chair agreed to look into holding these meetings hybrid.

SACRE formally agreed to stand as Agreed Syllabus Conference members.
