Minutes:
The Panel considered a report of the Clerk and Monitoring Officer to the Panel on the Panel’s Work Programme for 2024/25 (for copy see file of minutes).
The Clerk and Monitoring Officer to the Panel noted that it had been agreed that the work programme would remain as a standing agenda item, to allow for any new issues to be addressed and to help prioritise the work of the Panel. She noted that the March meeting would be the last meeting of the municipal year and that ultimately the Work Programme going forward would be for the Panel in June to decide, including on issues as raised in relation to the criminal justice system. Councillor D Nicholls referred to Domestic Abuse and Right Care, Right Person. The Clerk noted that they would be noted for the draft work programme for 2025/26, reiterating it was for the Panel in the new cycle to consider.
The Panel were also advised that the date of the next meeting had been moved to 26 March because the County Council meeting had been moved to the 19 March 2025. The Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner would be attending on behalf of the Police and Crime Commissioner but due to other commitments could only attend between 9.00 - 10.30am. It was proposed that the final Police, Crime and Justice Plan be prioritised with other items, other than standing items, be deferred until the first meeting of the new municipal year.
Resolved:
That the report be noted and the proposal that the Police Crime and Justice Plan be prioritised for the next meeting agreed.
