In order to provide a rapid response to support our communities through the current COVID-19 pandemic, The council has developed a process led by our AAPs to ensure funding is available to support VCS organisations impacted by Covid 19 and who were struggling to meet core costs as well as supporting projects, developed primarily but not exclusively by VCS organisations, to support residents impacted by Covid 19. This has involved the allocation of £100,000 to each of the 14 AAPs to support local projects, a £100,000 fund to support countywide schemes and the ability for Elected Members to allocate all of their Neighbourhood Budget allocations (£19,400 per member) on revenue projects when supporting COVID related schemes.
