Ushaw Moor is one of the biggest villages in Durham and has a lot of children, these children wander the streets in boredom, as there is no where for them to socialise. Ushaw moor only has two run down parks at the top of the village, which does not suit older children, and a blue arena that is filled with rubbish and glass that is dangerous to children of all ages. There is plenty of space for a skatepark, such as the small field next to the blue arena and the cricket pitch. There is also room on the corner of Esh wood view and Station road, the land there is over grown and can be used in a good way that would benefit the community.
