We the undersigned petition the Council to provide extra waste/recycling bins for more families. At present, D.C.C. only provides an extra waste/recycling bin to families with 6 people or more. Many families have to make regular trips to household recycling centres. If we're meant to be "going green" then surely it makes more sense to have that one extra bin, thus stopping the need for all the extra traffic which is also lowering pollution and meaning it's all done by the collection which comes round every week anyway. We also are aware of a lot of waste being dumped and left in back streets. This is a result of families that have no access to vehicles and therefore cannot make it to recycling centres
It makes no sense at all for people to be paying council tax for
a service we are not getting. Rubbish is getting out of hand as is
fly tipping.
