Consultation process
Consultation was only required in relation to a small number of schools where a reduction in the Admission Number was proposed.
• Parents of children between the ages of 2 and 18, via public notice in local newspapers
• Head Teachers and Governing Bodies/Academy Trusts of all schools/Academies in County Durham, via Schools' Extranet
• Neighbouring Local Authorities (as admission authorities of neighbouring Community and Voluntary Controlled Schools) via email
• Neighbouring admission authorities (schools) via letters
The Durham County Council website also publicised the consultation and facilitated on-line responses.
