Teesdale Village Halls Consortium is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee. It was founded in 1995 with it's main aim:

to promote and improve the effectiveness of Village Hall and Community Organisations in Teesdale and the surrounding area by the provision of advice, information, training and support.

The Consortium is composed of people from the management committees of 36 community buildings in Teesdale and people from interested organisations.
