Located at the heart of the market town of Barnard Castle, The Witham Hall has a listed frontage, and covers 3,196 cubic metres. It consists of a number of different sized rooms, including main hall with sprung floor and stage, meeting rooms, art gallery, offices and other rooms.
It is used on a regular basis by 33 different community groups, and is also the focus of several events in Barnard Castle throughout the year.
The building houses a thriving community drama group (The Castle Players) and Youth Drama (The Turrets) as well as a daily Playgroup, dancing classes, aerobics, carpet bowls, whist, and badminton.
A table top sale is held regularly and the Art Gallery (The Castle Gallery) is very popular with local artists as a central exhibition space.
