The Children in Care Council is a forum for Looked After Children and Young People and Care Leavers to meet to discuss issues which are important to them.  The Forum provides space for them to look at area's of their lives which could be improved by making changes to the services they receive.   They have a direct link to the Corporate Director and Lead Member to ensure that, as Corporate Parents, they are listening to children and young peoples views and making changes where possible in response.  The Corporate Parents should meet with the Children in Care Council on a quarterly basis as a minimum with a clear reporting system for giving the young people feedback to their questions/suggestions etc.
