The Minutes of the Meetings held on 8 December 2010 and 5 January 2011, were confirmed by the Sub-Committee as a correct record and were signed by the Chairman.

The Chair asked whether there was any other business to be considered during the public part of the meeting. No additional items or matters were raised.

Any resolution relating to the exclusion of the public during the discussion of items containing exempt information.

That under Section 100 A (4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraphs 3 and 5 of Schedule 12A to the said Act.

Hackney Carriage Driver Licence.

Minutes:

The Chair welcomed the Licence Holder to the meeting and introductions were made.

 

Consideration was given to the Report of the Director of Neighbourhood Services in respect of any action necessary regarding the Licence Holder’s Hackney Carriage Driver Licence. The Licensing Team Leader circulated to Members a copy of a recent press article.

 

The Licence Holder presented his case and responded to questions from Members of the Sub-Committee.

 

Members of the Sub-Committee left to deliberate in private at 10.25 am.

 

After reconvening at 10.50 am, the Chair delivered the Sub-Committee’s decision.

 

Resolved: That the Licence Holder be issued with a written warning for a 3 month period and any further issues within this time he be immediately up in front of the Sub-Committee.
